Our Commitment To You

Coeur d’ Alene Kenpo Karate was first established in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho in 1991. At the time, it was known as Northwest Kenpo Karate. Since then it has evolved into Coeur d’ Alene Kenpo Karate carrying with it the same traditions, standards, and quality that it did from the very beginning.

CdA Kenpo Karate is a proud member of the Advanced Kenpo Training Systems.

about us

The mission of CdA Kenpo Karate is to create a fun and safe environment where students can learn self-defense, respect, improved physical fitness, and self-confidence in a friendly atmosphere.

What IS Kenpo Karate

Kenpo Karate is a practical form of self-defence based on scientific principles. These principles used in a logical manner will result in a rapid sequence of strikes to specific, vital targets allowing for a small person to defeat a larger opponent.

Our Programs

At CdA Kenpo Karate we offer several different programs to fit individual needs. These programs consist of junior/kid’s classes and teen/adult classes. In these classes, students learn the art of Kenpo Karate. They also get the opportunity to participate in grappling and various sparring classes which include both tournament style point karate and kickboxing.

Here at CdA Kenpo Karate, we pride ourselves in the programs that we teach. As a result, we offer several different class times five days a week. Since we offer a wide selection of class times, class sizes are kept smaller and more personal which we believe benefits the students.

Our Classes Are A Great Way To Combine Self-Defense With Fitness

Learn to defend yourself while you get in shape. Our classes are physically as well as mentally challenging, and they allow you the freedom to progress at your own pace.

Our classes relieve stress

The emphasis on mind-body training goes far beyond the benefits of standard, health club type exercise programs. Our classroom sessions give you confidence. The confidence building part of our program is what students appreciate the most.

A great way to get in shape

The reason our program is so successful is because we make the classes fun and exciting. Our schedule also allows flexibility based on your busy life as we have numerous class times available.

Whether it’s Martial Arts, Kickboxing or Ground Fighting, if people are having fun and learning, they will better understand the value and stick with it.

Classes For Children

A recent study found that children in martial arts have an increased sense of responsibility, a decrease in the willingness to take foolish risks, and a higher sense of self-esteem. This is why millions of parents are using martial arts to supplement their children’s education.

  • Our reward system improves children’s self-esteem
  • Our program teaches discipline
  • Our program teaches children essential self-defense skills
  • Our activities channel children’s aggression
